Great to be back after a lovely break! There is a lot to be said for time away with loved ones to rest, rejuvenate and recharge the batteries. It was an action-packed holiday! My youngest two caught (and ate) their first fish. Me eldest paddle-boarded and kayaked to his heart’s content, and we all got to play beach cricket, rock-climb, stroll, read, relax, eat, laugh and enjoy each other’s company until it was time to go home. It was a rude shock to return to school and work! I have almost caught up…
So, what’s the buzz at CASology this week, you may ask:
The gorgeous Jen sent me an assorted set of butterfly dies for Christmas, and I have had A LOT of fun playing with them!! I loosely coloured some water-colour cardstock and allowed it to dry before die-cutting my butterfly, and assembling the remainder of the bibs and bobs.
This card is a little more layered than ‘my’ usual, however, given my preference for a grey base, the white tilted panel tucked sneakily beneath the top grey panel helped to ‘lift’ the colours in the butterfly. I hope you can see that there is still a lot of CAS goodness, though: one main image, lots of uncluttered, open space, and it’s quick and easy to recreate! 🙂
Hope to see you in the Gallery! Check out the rest of the DT’s insect creations, as well as a stunning creation by our Guest Designer Anna this week:
