Hello again! After a week of battling through a flu, I am back with a new cue word at CASology:
The cue got me thinking about the value of a compass in enabling one to establish their location on a journey, metaphorical or otherwise. 😉
The boots and compass are from a vintage Stampin’ Up! set (circa 1998) called ‘Roughing It!’ The sentiment is from another retired SU set called ‘Life’s Adventure’. Given the CASness of the card, I added texture in the form of some candy dots and dry-embossing (square lattice EF). The compass was fussy cut and suspended with teal twine, for contrast.
And that’s it! Hope you find your way to my team-mates for some more great inspiration:

Thanks for visiting and I will see you in the gallery!

Before I go, I would also like to join in with this week’s LIM Challenge:
I love this card, Hazel! The white on kraft, the embossing folder and the touch of color with the twine add up to a fabulous design!
Now then Hazel this is a pretty sneaky little entry into our Less is More ‘mainly teal’ challenge and probably slightly stretching the theme a little wide BUT that just makes me giggle! It would definitely win the award for the most minimal example of ‘mainly teal’ and I certainly can’t knock it for Clean and Simple with lots of striking elements and love the embossing against the kraft card. Those footstep stamps could certainly be used for lots of occasions! Hope you are well and thanks so much for playing along with us. Sarah x
Hmmm, I would say mainly kraft rather than mainly teal my lovely but a fabulous card all the same. Love those little boots, how cute are they?! Great texture and fab stamp/sentiment combo.
Thanks so much for sharing with us at Less is More, Anita x
Such a clever take on the cue card, Hazel! I love that you chose white on Kraft, and how you added texture to your design! So striking, and oh, so fabulous, as always 🙂
