Serendipity Stamps Happy Holidays Challenge – there’s still time…

Very excited to be back again as Guest Designer for Serendipity Stamps’ November Challenge:

I am sharing another holiday-inspired card. I love using gold-embossing at Christmas, and given the  indulgent feel of this beautiful Partridge and Pear, I couldn’t look beyond gold. I was particularly captivated by the plump pear in the corner of the image, and therefore chose to make it the feature:

I water-coloured the pear using green dye inks, then used a gold Wink of Stella brush to fill in the leaf.

To add a bit of additional interest, I cut the front panel of the card marginally shorter than the back, and heat-embossed the sentiment Season’s Greetings on the inside of the back panel. No need to stamp the inside of the card separately!

A strip of green card was then dry-embossed using a lattice folder, and added to the inside front panel. And perhaps this is gilding the lily, but I finished off the card with a big, gold organza bow!

Hope you can still join us this month! In fact, you have until Dec 7 US EST. And to inspire you further, Serendipity Stamps is offering this sweet stamp at 50% off for the rest of this month:

Hope to see you in the Gallery! And once again, a VERY big thanks to Mary, Jeanne and the rest of the Serendipity Stamps Design Team for  having me join them this month!  I am enormously grateful for the opportunity to enjoy and showcase these beautiful products!
